Customisation

One of the key benefits of self-hosting the OneTick MCP server is the ability to tailor what it knows and exposes to your environment. Both tool groups that read from local data can be extended or replaced:

• Documentation search — add your own documentation as a new search_* tool, either config only (point at a directory of Markdown files — no code) or with a Python class (for non-Markdown sources or custom retrieval). See Custom Search Tools.

• Reference data — replace the bundled OneTick Cloud files with your own to reflect the databases and schemas available in your deployment. See Custom Reference Data.
